Real Estate
Who Am I?
I am a proud veteran, Christian, divorced father of three and grandfather of two. I have lived in the Baltimore area my entire life.
My life began in 1973 at Bon Secours Hospital in West Baltimore. I grew up in Edmondson Village with my parents, older brother, and younger sister. After graduating from Baltimore Polytechnic Institute, I enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and completed basic training at Parris Island. After six years of service and an honorable discharge, I attended Loyola College for Mass Communications before transferring to Towson State University, where I graduated with a degree in Pure Mathematics in 1997. Between 1999 and 2001, I was introduced to real estate through investing, but quickly realized that the investment side of real estate was not for me.
My Background as a Real Estate Agent
In 2001, after watching my real estate agent negotiate effectively on my behalf, I realized that real estate was the career I wanted. As a lifelong extrovert who always enjoyed connecting with people, the idea of helping others while building a career felt like the perfect fit. In early 2002, I completed real estate classes, passed the course, and then passed the state exam in April.
My career began at O’Conner, Piper and Flinn, which had recently joined Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage. Coldwell Banker required new agents to complete additional training through The Fast Track Program. I am grateful I began my career there because the training gave me confidence and valuable knowledge that I still rely on today.
After five years at Coldwell Banker, in 2009 I was offered an office manager position at 100% Home Realty, a small mom and pop brokerage. I was recruited because of the success I had built at Coldwell Banker. I served in that role for two years before joining my current brokerage, ExecuHome Realty, also in 2009.
At ExecuHome, I expanded my education by completing the Graduate Real Estate Institute program and the Broker courses. I later passed the state exam and now proudly hold my Broker license.
Through countless real estate transactions, I learned that negotiation is the most important skill an agent can have. Many transactions fall apart because the average agent lacks this ability. With that understanding, I completed formal training in real estate negotiations and earned my negotiation certification. This allows me to represent my clients with confidence and skill, helping them reach their goals and get to the settlement table successfully.
